Each year, on the Friday before Remembrance Sunday, we take time to remember ‘the fallen soldiers’ and all the people who have helped us. This year, 2018 has marked 100 years since the end of the Great War and the children and parents of Downside Nursery commemorated by making a poppy wreath, which the children delivered to the village chapel.
The chapel reverend, Hugh Grear was so delighted by our efforts that he popped into nursery to thank the children personally and to talk to them about why ‘we remember’.
